Ichthyic and Fishing area

Each specimen present in Lake Garda is illustrated in detail and on the monitor there is a detailed description in Italian, English and German.

There are rare tools used for professional fishing on display: fixed place nets, vertical and circular nets, lobster pots, harpoons of different sizes, fishing lines and boats; all with clear descriptions to show the different methods of professional fishing used in the past on Lake Garda, which up to the 1970s was an important activity of sustenance for many families.

On the television it is possible to watch various videos regarding 61 photographs of 1838 on “Fishing in Lake Garda”, kindly granted by the Accademia di Agricoltura Scienze e Lettere in Verona and commentated by Prof. Giorgio Vedovelli in Italian, English and German.
